The Opportunity
This is a high-impact executive position where you will define, lead, and deliver the organisation’s digital transformation strategy—modernising systems, enhancing data-driven decision-making, and unlocking innovation in customer engagement.
You’ll work at the intersection of business, technology, and operations, ensuring transformation programmes deliver measurable business value, operational efficiency, and improved customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership

Develop and execute a multi-year digital transformation roadmap aligned with corporate strategy.

Champion digital-first thinking across the organisation, influencing board-level decision-making.

Identify and implement opportunities for process automation, AI adoption, advanced analytics, and cloud migration.
Programme Delivery

Lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives from concept through to delivery and benefits realisation.

Oversee the integration of new digital solutions into existing insurance products and services.

Ensure transformation programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption to BAU operations.
Cultural & Organisational Change

Foster an innovation-led culture that embraces change and continuous improvement.

Engage with business leaders, IT, and operational teams to secure buy-in and alignment.

Develop training, communication, and change management plans to embed new ways of working.
Technology & Data Enablement

Oversee the deployment of scalable, secure, and compliant digital platforms.

Drive data governance, analytics capability, and insight-led decision-making.

Partner with vendors, fintech/insurtech firms, and other strategic partners to accelerate transformation.
Experience & Skills Required
Essential:
-
Proven track record in leading digital transformation within insurance, financial services, or another highly regulated industry.

Strong understanding of insurance operations, underwriting, claims, and distribution models.

Experience in implementing enterprise technology platforms (CRM, policy administration systems, cloud services, automation tools).

Familiarity with regulatory requirements (FCA, GDPR, Solvency II) and their impact on digital initiatives.

Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale budgets and multi-disciplinary teams.
