From first call to shortlist
Every search starts with a conversation about the role, and the fee is agreed in writing before any work begins.
- 01Initial callWe talk through the role, what success looks like in the first year, the team and board around it, the package and your timetable.
- 02Brief agreedWe confirm the specification, the type of appointment (permanent, interim or fractional) and the terms in writing.
- 03Search and shortlistWe approach candidates from our network and the wider market in confidence, interview them against your brief and present a shortlist.
- 04Interviews and offerWe arrange interviews, take references, manage the offer and stay in touch through notice and the first months in the role.

What to include in your enquiry
You do not need a finished job description. These details help us give useful advice on the first call:
- The job title, who the role reports to and the size of the business and team.
- Whether the role is permanent, interim or fractional, and the days you have in mind.
- Where the role is based and how much travel or home working is involved.
- The experience the business needs next, such as a fundraise, a sale, a turnaround or regulatory approval.
- Your salary, day-rate or equity budget, and when you need someone to start.

Frequently asked questions
Is the first conversation confidential?
Yes. Many senior searches concern roles that have not been announced, or replace someone still in post, and we treat every enquiry in confidence from the first call. Our guide to confidential executive search explains how we handle it.
How quickly will you respond?
We reply to enquiries the same working day. For an urgent interim role, calling 0203 834 9616 is the fastest route.
What will it cost?

Can you help outside London?

Do you recruit interim and fractional executives?
Yes. Alongside permanent appointments we place interim executives and fractional CFOs, COOs, CTOs, CMOs and Sales Directors who work one to three days a week.
